Are you passionate about contributing to the betterment of society, no matter where you are in life? Whether you’re studying or living in Eindhoven, Maastricht, or elsewhere in Southeast Netherlands, we warmly invite you to “A Connecting Conversation: For Connected Neighborhoods.”
You are invited to participate in this special event on June 29, 2025, at the De Walnoot community center in Boxtel (Reginahof 1). Together, we will focus on the art of having connecting conversations. You can read more about this on the “Verbinding” page (which you'll probably be able to translate using your own toolkit).
We won't just 'talk about' connecting conversations: we will also 'do' it: practice! Through theory and practice, we will become aware of what 'connection' is, how you can connect with yourself and others, and how you can lift a conversation (experience the 'magic'!) or lose connection. And how it feels to make a difference.
With a potluck lunch (we hope the weather will be nice!), we will continue the conversation at the pond with (other) Boxtel residents, who are also invited.
The afternoon will be an interactive gathering in which we will use creative methods to further connect on the theme and practice connecting conversations. New friends from the area will hopefully join us.
Doors open at 9:30 a.m.; start at 10:00 a.m. Potluck lunch from 12:30 p.m. We will wrap up at 4:30 p.m. and clean up together at 5:00 p.m.
Please register using the Dutch registration page; thank you!
At the heart of the Bahá’í teachings lies a vision of a world where unity, justice, and peace are more than ideals — they are living principles that can shape every community, every neighborhood, every generation.
We know that many of you, as students or (young) professionals from around the world, raised in Bahá’í families or having befriended (young) Bahá’ís in The Netherlands, carry this vision close to your hearts. You see yourselves as part of a global family striving to transform society through service, friendship, and learning. And you’re not alone: here in Southeast Netherlands, we’re working in the same spirit.
Our gatherings and conversations — whether they take place in someone’s home, a neighborhood center, or a quiet corner of the city — are places to explore how we can build stronger communities. Not just for today, and not just for ourselves, but for everyone, everywhere.
You don’t have to be here forever to make an impact. Even a short season of service can leave lasting roots in hearts and neighborhoods. Together, we learn, we act, and we grow — always with an eye to the needs of those around us, and the spiritual horizons that unite us all.
Our gatherings are inspired by the Bahá’í vision of unity and community building. It’s an opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions about how we can strengthen our neighborhoods and contribute to a more connected society.
We warmly invite you to join us:
To share your insights and experiences— because your voice matters.
To bring your friends— because every sincere conversation enriches us all.
To discover how Bahá’í-inspired community building is a collective process—one that adapts to every stage of life and every corner of the world.
To be part of a growing global family of people who believe in the power of service, prayer, consultation, and creativity to shape a more just and compassionate society.
This event is hosted by the Bahá’í-community (Southeast Netherlands region) and is open to all. Better connection makes a better world. Would you like to participate and contribute? You're more than welcome! Please contact us through the Chat widget.
